Hi Mom and Dad and familie and friends!
Wow sounds like you guys had a great week. I can't believe
Caleb is home already! I'm happy you guys went to his coming home dinges (thingamajig)
at the airport. Let Grandma and the familie know that I love them and say, “Hi”
to every one for me! I'm really thankful for what you said about enjoying the
mission and that there really is no other time like it in my life. It is a
consecrated time and I was struggling with enjoying the work until about a few
weeks ago. I really do love this work and I know the joy and peace that comes
from living and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A district goal of ours
this transfer is to find meaningful scriptures out of the Book of Mormon and
the Bible that are applicable to our lives. One I really like is Mosiah 2:41 “And
moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state
of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all
things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end
they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state
of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for
the Lord God hath spoken it.”
This was a crazy sick week. I went on exchanges with the
DL's on Thursday in Gent, and then on Friday I went straight to Antwerpen for
exchanges with the ZL's. It was a really great experience and we talked to a
guy who was from Oregon! We gave him a Book of Mormon and it was sweet! He was
a really cool guy, and we shared the promise in the last chapter of Moroni with
him. He said it was quite a promise and we exchanged numbers. That was in Gent,
so I'll see if they ever follow up with him, or if he gives them a call. Jenny
got baptized this week! She has been investigating the church for 15 years and
she made the decision a few weeks ago. Lindstrom and I were the two witnesses
and it was a really cool experience. She was a little scared about the water
but she did it! The next day we stood in while she received the gift of the
Holy Ghost and she cried afterwards and the Spirit was strong. Also, one of the
new members received the Aaronic Priesthood! He is an awesome guy and set a
great example for his dad, who wants to wait to find out more about the Priesthood
before he gets it. Miracles are happening, and I'm so happy to be here doing Christ's
work.
Lindstrom and I also had quite the experience yesterday with
a member who fed us. We had some soup which was lekker (delicious) and then came out the
main dish. He dished it up for us and put steaming hot cow tongue on our plates
:) It was really nice of him to make it for us. He also made homemade chocolade
mousse for us after, which was heel smak (very tasty). Love you guys!!! Have a
great week!! Love you guys!!!!!!!
Hello, I don't want to be a stocker, but my son is your sons his companion right now and his camera is broken so I was hoping Elder Dewitt would have some pictures of them together.
